Jindal Stainless Expands with INR 125 Cr Mumbai Unit

Jindal Stainless, India's largest stainless steel manufacturer, has officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art fabrication unit in Mumbai with a significant investment of INR 125 crores. This expansion strengthens the company's manufacturing capabilities and enhances its ability to serve diverse market segments across various industries.

The new facility, strategically located in the industrial heart of Mumbai, spans over 75,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced fabrication equipment and precision cutting technologies. The unit will specialize in processing stainless steel sheets, coils, and plates for applications in construction, automotive, infrastructure, and consumer goods sectors.

"This investment reflects our commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality stainless steel products in India," stated Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless. "The new Mumbai unit will complement our existing facilities and enable us to provide faster delivery and better service to our customers."

The facility features modern fabrication technologies including laser cutting, plasma cutting, and precision bending equipment. It is designed to handle both standard and custom fabrication requirements, catering to the diverse needs of industrial clients across western India.

The unit is expected to process approximately 50,000 metric tons of stainless steel annually, creating employment opportunities for over 150 skilled workers. The facility also incorporates sustainable manufacturing practices, including waste recycling systems and energy-efficient operations.

Jindal Stainless's expansion comes at a time when India's stainless steel consumption is growing rapidly, driven by infrastructure development, urbanization, and industrial growth. The new Mumbai facility positions the company to capitalize on these opportunities while maintaining its leadership position in the Indian stainless steel market.
